LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Rooter Hero Plumbing has wrapped up its Back-to-School Giveaway, and thanks to an overwhelming number of nominations from students, parents and community members throughout its Northern California, Southern California, and Arizona service areas, the company expanded its original plan and ultimately funded classroom wishlists for more than teachers.

Community members were invited to nominate a teacher who goes above and beyond for their students, and share why the teacher deserved to win. Rooter Hero had originally planned to select three winners (one from each of its service areas), but the response was so strong, and thanks to a generous donation from vendor partner HomeGuru, they were able to expand the giveaway to support additional classrooms.

Some of this year’s winners include:

• Monica Quintero, Rancho Medanos Junior High School (Pittsburg Unified School District), Pittsburg, CA
• Isabel Reynoso, IBDP Science Teacher at Blair High School, Pasadena, CA
• Kaitlyn McCarty, TK Teacher at Cottonwood Creek Elementary, Visalia, CA
• Alicia Arias, Olive Crest Academy, Garden Grove, CA
• Michele DiMola, Dahlia Heights Elementary School, Los Angeles, CA

“Seeing communities support their teachers was truly incredible. It was a great reminder of just how big a difference teachers make to their students, families, and the community in general,” said Katherine Conchas, Brand Marketing Manager and Hero Helps Coordinator at Rooter Hero. “We are grateful to HomeGuru for helping us stretch this year’s giveaway even further, and to everyone who took the time to nominate a teacher.
