Local entrepreneur invites the President to visit Neptune’s on Main Street and see a small-business transformation accomplished in just 45 days
DAYTONA BEACH, FL, UNITED STATES, October 27, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — As President Donald J. Trump prepares to visit Daytona Beach on Friday, October 30, 2026, local entrepreneur and Neptune’s Bar & Grill owner Philip Simonetta is extending a public and personal invitation to the President: Come visit Neptune’s, meet the team, see the American flag proudly painted on the building, and witness firsthand what a determined small-business owner and his team were able to build in just 45 days.
For Simonetta, the invitation is about more than a presidential visit. It is an opportunity to share a story of American entrepreneurship, risk, determination, hard work and a major personal investment in the future of Daytona Beach’s Main Street.
“Mr. President, I would be truly honored to welcome you to Neptune’s,” Simonetta said. “Come have something to eat, enjoy a cold drink, meet our employees and see what we have built here. Whether you can stay for five minutes or an hour, it would be an honor to shake your hand and welcome you personally to Main Street Daytona Beach.”
FROM AN IDEA TO OPEN DOORS IN 45 DAYS
Simonetta entered into a contract to acquire Neptune’s Bar & Grill in June 2026 and closed on the property on July 1.
What happened next became one of the most challenging projects of his more than 25-year entrepreneurial career.
Rather than simply purchasing an existing bar and reopening the doors, Simonetta embarked on an extensive rebuilding and renovation project.
The mission was straightforward but ambitious: transform the property, obtain the necessary licenses and approvals, build a team and get Neptune’s operational as quickly as possible.
Approximately 45 days later, the transformation was accomplished.
The work included the installation of five air-conditioning units, extensive painting and improvements, new signage, fencing, kitchen equipment, new beverage equipment, beer-line work, cleaning and restoration of the floors, repairs and upgrades throughout the property, and the countless details necessary to bring an aging establishment back to life.
At the same time, Simonetta worked through inspections, regulatory requirements and licensing while preparing the business for customers.
This was not an investment managed from a distance.
Simonetta was personally involved in the project, working alongside the people helping rebuild the property and handling the operational challenges that come with opening a hospitality business.
Neptune’s ultimately celebrated its official Grand Opening on October 9, 2026, just in time for Daytona Beach’s Biketoberfest festivities.
MORE THAN A BAR — A BET ON MAIN STREET
Neptune’s represents another chapter in Simonetta’s long entrepreneurial career.
For more than 25 years, Simonetta has worked across real estate, development, construction, business consulting, restaurants, nightlife and entrepreneurship.
His businesses include Pier 21 Realty, Pier 21 Property Management and The Florida Real Estate School by Pier 21 Realty, along with other real estate and business ventures.
His move into Daytona Beach has also included Simonetta’s Brick Oven Pizza Bus and a growing commitment to doing business in the Daytona Beach community.
But Neptune’s has become especially personal.
Simonetta believes strongly in the future of Main Street and the potential for locally owned businesses, restaurants, entertainment venues and entrepreneurs to help bring renewed energy to the district.
And painted prominently on Neptune’s is something impossible to miss:
A large American flag.
For Simonetta, the flag represents what made the Neptune’s project possible in the first place.
“That flag isn’t there simply for decoration,” Simonetta said. “I love this country and believe in the opportunity America gives people who are willing to take risks, work hard, create jobs and build something. Every small-business owner understands what it means to put your money, reputation, time and energy on the line because you believe you can create something better.”
AN INVITATION FROM ONE BUSINESSMAN TO ANOTHER
Simonetta believes President Trump’s Daytona Beach visit presents an opportunity to highlight the people behind America’s small businesses.
“President Trump understands business,” Simonetta said. “He understands construction, development, employees, deadlines and what it means to take an idea and turn it into something real. That’s why I would especially enjoy showing him what we accomplished here.”
Simonetta says he would be proud to introduce the President to the employees and people who helped make Neptune’s possible.
“This wasn’t built in a corporate boardroom,” Simonetta said. “People rolled up their sleeves and worked. Problems came up every day, and every day we figured out how to solve them. That’s the story of small business in America.”
Simonetta hopes the President’s visit will also shine a spotlight on Daytona Beach, Main Street and the local businesses investing in the community.
“MR. PRESIDENT, OUR DOOR IS OPEN”
Simonetta’s message to President Trump is simple:
“Mr. President, welcome to Daytona Beach.”
“If your schedule permits, I personally invite you to visit Neptune’s Bar & Grill on Main Street. Come see what we accomplished in 45 days. Meet the people who helped build it. See the American flag painted proudly on our building and the American small business operating within it.”
“From one businessman to another, I would be honored to shake your hand, buy you something to eat and personally welcome you to Main Street Daytona Beach.”
“Mr. President, our door is open.”
