Voyager Technologies (NYSE: VOYG) today announced the appointment of Gen. B. Chance Saltzman (U.S. Space Force, Ret.) as Chairman, Board of Advisors. In the role, Gen. Saltzman will provide strategic counsel for the company’s space and defense efforts, customer needs and the evolving threat environment.
“As national security, defense and civil space continue to intersect, Gen. Saltzman is the perfect person to lead this effort,” said Matt Kuta, president, Voyager. “As demand for the rapid delivery of resilient capabilities grows, his judgment will sharpen how we serve our customers and how we compete for the programs that matter most.”
Gen. Saltzman served as the second Chief of Space Operations for the United States Space Force, responsible for the organization, training and equipping of all organic and assigned space forces serving in the United States and overseas. As a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Saltzman functioned as a military advisor to the President, the Secretary of War and the National Security Council.
“The national security space mission is expanding faster than industry can currently meet it,” said Gen. Saltzman. “Voyager has the technology, the agility and the ambition to help close that gap, and I’m looking forward to helping the team turn that potential into capability for our services.”
Gen. Saltzman earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Boston University before going on to earn master’s degrees in public administration from the University of Montana and strategic management from The George Washington University. He received missile training at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, was a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School and the Air Command and Staff College and graduated from the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies, as well as Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
